The primary principle of aisle containment is to isolate the cold air supplied to servers (supply air) so it does not mix with hot exhaust air. The mixing of hot and cold air is the main cause of cooling inefficiency.


By preventing this mixture, cooling systems can operate more efficiently, resulting in operational cooling cost savings of 20-50%. This Cold Aisle Containment System is equipped with technical features that prioritize safety and operational ease:


1. Smart Roof Panel System The roof panel functions to enclose the cold aisle and features an integrated fire safety mechanism:

  • Fire Safety Mechanism : Under normal conditions, roof panels remain in a horizontal position. If a fire alarm signal is detected, the panel locks automatically release, and the panels drop due to gravity, allowing fire suppression gas to enter the cold aisle.

  • Material : Constructed from a steel frame with a thickness of over 1.5mm and 5mm thick polycarbonate glass.

  • Automatic Lighting : Equipped with lights that illuminate automatically when motion sensors detect activity inside the aisle.

  • Dimensions : Available in depths of 600mm (up to 10 panels) and 800mm (up to 7 panels) to accommodate server rack widths. A net height of over 2 meters ensures daily maintenance activities are not disrupted.


2. Automatic Sliding Door For entry and exit access, this system utilizes high-specification automatic sliding doors:


  • Structure: The door is equipped with false cabinets on both sides and high-strength hanging rails at the top.

  • Access Security : Supports secure access using fingerprint or RFID authentication.

  • Monitoring : Optional touchscreen monitor available for real-time rack temperature monitoring.

  • Installation : Doors are installed at the front and rear of the aisle to prevent hot air from entering the equipment area.
